Firmware Update Instructions
Hi, welcome to our firmware update instructions, follow our step by step instructions below for your BTI touch screen and or dash.
1) Required Hardware:
- Windows PC
- Micro USB Cable
- Micro SD Card (32 Gigs or Less)
2) If connected, disconnect your your BTI gauge or dash from your vehicle, you can do this by unplugging the white connector on the back side of the gauge or dash. Please note that your firmware update will not successful if your gauge is still connected to your vehicle.
3) Open our TyUpdater link found here:
Upon opening you will something similar to this:
Updating the Display File:
This process will require a ".tft" file for the BTI gauge product that you wish to update and a micro SD card with 32 gigs or less
1) Copy the TFT display file to a micro SD card and insert the card into the slot on the display
2) Apply power to the display and you should see the display begin to update
3) Once the display show success remove the micro SD card and remove power from the gauge
4) Re-apply power back to the gauge with the card removed and the update will finish, once finished your BTI gauge should be completely updates
Please Note:
- Not all micro SD cards have proven to be compatible, specifically SanDisk Ultra SD cards
- We have however had proven success with SanDisk Industrial SD cards

5) Upon selecting the correct HEX file click upload again the new firmware will load and should require no further action for firmware files
4) Click the upload button and you will need to select the HEX file that is needed for your BTI gauge product
Once the gauge processor is recognized by your Windows PC, the updater will look something like this:

- Micro SD Card (32 Gigs or Less)
2) If connected, disconnect your your BTI gauge or dash from your vehicle, you can do this by unplugging the white connector on the back side of the gauge or dash. Please note that your firmware update will not successful if your gauge is still connected to your vehicle.
