Please follow the instructions below to update your gauge

OVERVIEW




Remove

Remove gauge from your vehicle 

Connect 

Connect your gauge to your PC via USB

Select

Select/Download files

Upload

Upload HEX and TFT files

REQUIRED HARDWARE


   Windows PC


  USB Data Cable (Please Note this is Different than a USB Charging Cable)


Micro SD Card (32 Gig or less)

STEP 1: REMOVE


If connected, disconnect your BTI Gauge from your vehicle, you can do this by unplugging the white connector at the back side of your gauge. Please note that your firmware will not be successfully uploaded if your gauge is still connected to your car. 

STEP 2: CONNECT


Connect your BTI Gauge and Windows PC via USB Data Cable, open the BTI Updater found here:


Upon opening, you will see something similar to this: 

Once your gauge's processor is recognized by your Windows PC, the updater will look something like this: 


STEP 3: SELECT


Click the Upload button, then select the HEX file that is needed for your gauge

You can access your HEX file here: 

         


Upon opening, you should see something like this, select your correct HEX file: 

STEP 4: UPLOAD HEX 


Once selected, click Upload again, the new firmware will load and should require no further action. This process should resemble something like this: 


STEP 5: UPLOAD TFT


This process requires that you select your screen size and upload it to a Micro SD Card with 32 gigs or less.

Find your screen size below and copy it to your SD Card, insert your card into the display 



  1. Upon Upload, apply power to the display and the display will begin updating
  2. Once the display is updated, remove the Micro SD Card and remove power from the gauge
  3. Re-apply power with the SD Card removed to complete update, once concluded your gauge will be completely updated (Please note with Dual Display Gauges you must complete this process twice for each screen)
